Happy Birthday Droopy!
Happy 14th Birthday to our Droopy!!! Droopy and I have been together since Droopy was 8 weeks old and I was 12 years old. Droopy is the reason I love bassets and why I got into helping our local basset rescue. Here's to many more years Droopy!

We hope you had a Happy Halloween!
We had a fun Halloween. Mom insisted on dressing us up as Batman, Robin, Alfred the butler, and a bat. The big goof ball in the bow tie is our foster brother Hugh. He's a Walker Hound and just a sweet boy.
Smiley ever got to go sit and hand out candy to the kids. Then she tried to sneak a Snickers bar and mom freaked out! heheh

We miss you guys!
Hey bloggie friends!
Have you missed us?!?!??! Cause we have missed you. Momma's been crazy busy and has no time to type for us. We put our paws down the other day and demanded she make time for blogging again!

Health scare so back to the VET!
Droopy here!
Well I was healing up from my splurgery ok. Getting lots of rest and eating good but Momma noticed my belly around my stitches didn't look so great and was oozing bloody stuff Friday afternoon. Off to the vet we went!
My vet found that I had an infection and some fluid build up so I got wrapped up like a mummy and set home with antibiotics to make the scary infection go away.
FrankenDroopy
The crazy bandage wrap is mainly to protect my stitches and so when it drained it wouldn't drip all over then floor. My vet says the infection is from me trying to scratch at my stitches and the bacteria got into my wound.
This is my scary FrankenBasset bandage when it came off. All that yucky brown stuff came out of me!!!!
My vet said I have to have a shirt of so that there will be no wound scratching. I'm not bad I swear.
Momma brought me back to the vet on Monday and the vet said my stitches and belly look better than expected!!! The vet re-wrapped me in this stupid bandage so my wound would still drain.
Too bad all the medicine made my tummy all upset. I made sad faces at Momma until she made me boiled chicken and rice with yogurt. Hehehe
Clearly this bandage makes my beauty sleep difficult to get.
Momma says we go back to the vet monday to finally get my stitches out. Meanwhile I continue to wear goofy shirts.
Sniff ya later,
Droopy (and the other CheeseHounds)
